First, you will meet with our trained specialist to determine the cause of any scalp and hair issues. Then a treatment program will be advised. You will be provided written instructions on how to maintain your results with home treatments
- We recommend the first treatment be done in our salon after your diagnosis.
  This will be a great learning experience, providing you with the knowledge to continue your treatments at home
- Treatment recommendations by our specialist focus on every problem imaginable
  Such as: hair loss, fine and fragile hair, dry and damaged hair, color treated hair, dull and flat hair. Scalp conditions can be coupled with any type of hair problem, such as: oily scalp, dry or itchy scalp, flaky scalp (both oily and dry), Psoriasis, sensitive scalp
- Appointments are recommended for complimentary consultations.

- What is Permanent Cosmetics?
  Answer: Cosmetic pigments or "micro-pigments" are made from a dry powdery substance that when suspended in liquid it creates ink. This pigment is available in a wide variety of colors specially formulated and safe for the skin
- How permanent is it?
  Answer: The duration of permanent cosmetic varies by depth of needle penetration, skin type and personal after care. With proper instruction and care, makeup color can last for several years. Clients may need refreshers or "touch ups" every few years
- How safe is it?
  Answer: Permanent makeup has been around for centuries. The Micro-pigments are derived from natural compounds present in the human body. Strict sterilization procedures are followed to reduce the possibility of contamination. However, the client has the shared responsibility of keeping the treated area clean while it's healing. A doctor's consult may be necessary if contemplating other medical cosmetic procedures
- Is the Permanent Makeup procedure painful?
  Answer: Topical anesthetics are used to minimize any possible discomfort
- What is required for after care?
  Answer: It is safe to expect some slight swelling and redness after procedure. This side affect will subside within days and clients need not worry about resuming normal everyday activities. Pretreatment Instructions
- Avoid the sun 4-6 weeks before and after treatment. Epidermal melanocytes compete with melanin in the hair.
- Your provider may ask you to stop any topical medications or skin care products 3-5 days prior to treatment.
- If you have e had a history of perioral or genital herpes simplex virus
  your provider may recommend prophylactic antiviral therapy. Follow the directions for your particular antiviral medication
- If you have a tan or have a darker skin type, a bleaching regimen may be started 4 -6 weeks before treatment.
- Recently Tanned Skin Can Not Be Treated!
  If treated within 2 weeks of active (natural sunlight or tanning both) tanning, you may develop hypo-pigmentation (white spots) after treatment and this may not clear for 2-3 months or longer
- The use of self-tanning skin products must be discontinued one week before treatment.
  Any residual self-tanner should be removed prior to treatment
Intratreatment Care
- The skin is cleaned and shaved 2-3 days prior to treatment. The use of a topical anesthetic is optional.
- When treating the upper lip, the teeth may be protected with moist white gauze. The gauze also serves to support the lip during treatment, allowing a surface to push against.
- The DCD (cryogen cooling device), will be used with the laser to cool the skin during treatment. .
- Safety considerations are important during the laser procedure.
  Protective eye wear will be worn by the patient and all personnel in the treatment room during the procedure to reduce the chance of damage to the eye. In addition, your provider will take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety
Post Treatment Care
- Immediately after treatment
  There should be erythema (redness) and edema (swelling) of each hair follicle in the treatment site, which may last up to o 2 hours or longer. The erythema may last up to 2-3 days. The treated are will feel like a sunburn for a few hours after treatment
- Your provider may use an optional cooling method after treatment to ensure your comfort.
- A topical soothing skin care product such as aloevera gel may be applied following treatment if desired.
- Makeup may be used immediately after the treatment as long as the skin is not irritated.
- Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyper pigmentation (darker pigmentation).
- Use a sun block (SPF 30+ +) at all times throughout the course of treatment.
- Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin.
  Do not use any other hair removal treatment products or similar t treatments (waxing, electrolysis e or tweezing) that will disturb the follicle in the treatment area for 4-6 weeks after the laser treatment is performed. Shaving is the preferred method
- Anywhere from 10-21 days after the treatment
  Shedding of the treated hair may occur and this appears as new hair growth. OT new hair growth. You can clean and remove the hair by washing or wiping the area a with a wet cloth or Loofa This is NO sponge
- After the axillae (underarms) are treated
  You may wish to use a powder instead of a deodorant for 24 hours after the treatment to reduce skin irritation
- There are no restrictions on bathing except to treat the skin gently, as if you had a sunburn, for the first 24 hours.
- Return to the salon or call for an appointment at the first sign of the return of hair growth.
  This may be within 4-6 weeks for the upper body and possibly as long as 2-3 months for the lower body. Hair regrowth occurs at different rates on different areas of the body. New hair growth will not occur for ATLEAST 3 weeks after treatment
